Vivaldi was a chestnut Dutch Warmblood stallion, born in 2002, standing approximately 1.72 m (≈16.2 hh). He was sired by Krack C out of the mare Renate‑Utopia (by Jazz × Ulft), so his pedigree combined three generations of notable Dutch dressage breeding. He was licensed by the Koninklijk Warmbloed Paardenstamboek Nederland (KWPN) in 2005 and later achieved Preferent status within the KWPN, marking him as one of their most influential sires. Vivaldi competed up to the small tour/Grand Prix preparation level with rider Hans Peter Minderhoud, and thereafter focused mainly on breeding. He passed away in October 2025 at age 23, leaving a major legacy in dressage breeding

Top international dressage‑sire ranking: Vivaldi was repeatedly ranked among the top ten dressage sires worldwide by the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH).
Produced over 1,200 registered offspring in the KWPN alone, including numerous licensed sons and elite mare daughters — a major impact on the breed.
Sired many Grand Prix/Dressage competition horses, including names like Desperado N.O.P., Dream Boy N.O.P., Expression, Blue Hors Veneziano and Chinook, all performing at the highest levels.
Proved his qualities early: In his 2005 stallion performance test he scored very well for walk, trot and canter (8.5–9.0 range) and was described as an “uphill” and “riding type” stallion with good work attitude.
Created his own sire‑line (“V‑line”) within dressage breeding, meaning his genetic influence continues through his sons and daughters that are now established in sport and breeding worldwide.
