About Sir Shutterfly

This modern, elegant and exceptionally light-footed Hanoverian stallion has a premium pedigree. Sir Shutterfly is the full brother to Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum’s brilliant show jumper Shutterfly. Sir Shutterfly is a stallion with obvious thoroughbred quality, great power and speed, a good technique and ideal bascule. His light-footedness and scopey jump point towards an international jumping career but he has proven himself to be a successful sire of event horses as well as show jumpers. He is also the sire of several successful licensed stallion sons eg Horido S, Salut Bonheur and Chacfly. Sir Shutterfly has an exceptional pedigree. His sire Silvio I, is regarded as one of the most prominent Sandro offspring in the breeding world and on his dam’s side, the thoroughbred connection comes from the Forrest xx. Also interesting is the connection to Gardestern-Wendekreis. At his 30-day stallion performance test Sir Shutterfly received the maximum score of 10.0 for his scope, his technique was awarded 9.75 and 9.5 respectively, he also received 9.0 for temperament and character at his 30-day test.

Achievements

Achieved top scores in his 30‑day stallion performance test: 10.0 for scope, 9.75 and 9.5 for jumping technique & ability, and 9.0 for temperament and character.
Qualified for the German Bundeschampionat for five‑year‑old jumping horses and competed at 1.50 m level before becoming a full‑time breeding stallion.
Ranked 55th in the 2018 World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) eventing sire rankings — testifying to his quality as an eventing‑sire based in the UK.
His progeny include internationally successful young horses such as “CSF Sir George” (silver medal in a young SJ world championship) and “Sir Papillon” (4th place in the 7‑year‑old Young Event Horse championships at Le Lion d’Angers).
Known for passing on an excellent temperament, power over the fence, thoroughbred refinement and three good elastic gaits — making him well suited for both eventing and show‑jumping breeding programmes.
